Tara Dillon (Ryston)
A member of the Ireland teams that defeated the Rest of Europe in 2005 and in 2007, Tara Dillon (Ryston) helped Ireland to victory over the Netherlands in the 2008 Willie Parker Challenge Cup match at RGSC. Tara scored a 151 aggregate to be an impressive wire to wire ladies winner of the 2024 Irish Open at Ryston. Tara holds the following International Matchplay Record: Foursomes: W2 L0 H0; Fourballs: W2 L0 H0; Singles: W2 L2 H0.
Crowned National Matchplay champion at Glenville in 2008, Tara is a three–time (2008, 2012 and 2014) National Strokeplay runner-up and three –time (2011, 2014 and 2015) National Matchplay defeated finalist.
1995 National Girls Strokeplay runner-up, Tara then claimed the 1996 National Ladies Intermediate Strokeplay championship title at Ashgrove.
A thirteen time National Inter-County winner with Kildare (since 1999), Tara also boasts eleven Leinster Inter-County gold medals (first one was secured in 1997).
Tara was Leinster Strokeplay champion in 2004 and has been provincial individual runner-up on six occasions (two Strokeplay and four Matchplay).
National Mixed Team Event winner in 2002 and 2008, with St. Bridget’s, Tara also helped St. Bridget’s to 2016 National Ladies Inter-club glory.
Amy Galvin (Tullamore)
Ireland’s current No. 3 ranked player, Amy Galvin beat defending champion Paula Lynch (Oldcastle) in last year’s National Ladies Matchplay championship final at Larkspur Park
Amy was Irish Girls Strokeplay champion in 2012 (at St. Bridget’s) and in 2014 (at Navan) while she was 2013 runner-up in the same championship at Pfizer.
A Leinster Juvenile Inter-County runner-up (with Offaly) in 2013, Amy was five times provincial Girls’ Strokeplay champion – in 2009 (at Kilbeggan), 2011 (Royal Meath), 2012 (Old County), 2013 (Kilbeggan) and 2014 (MacBride). She was runner-up in 2010 to Claire Keatinge (Old County) at Ryston.
In September 2023, Amy fired rounds of 49 and 43 for a superb 16 under par 92 at Kilbeggan to win the overall Westmeath Classic (in honour of Jack and Rose McCormack), a shot clear of clubmate Patrick Murphy (47+46).
Having teamed-up with her dad Anthony to win Leinster Mixed Foursomes Best Gross in 2023 at Kilbeggan, Amy bagged 1½ points out of two for Leinster against Munster in the Interprovincial Challenge at Lakeside last November.
As holder, Amy reached the 2025 National Matchplay final at Erry, going down to her international team colleague Chrissie Sheedy.
Chrissie Sheedy (Ryston)
Chrissie first played for Ireland at McDonagh against the Rest of Europe alongside the 2003 European Team championship. Having represented Ireland in the 2006 World Cup at Teia, Chrissie made further international appearances in the 2006 Willie Parker Challenge Cup, against the Rest of Europe in 2007 and versus Catalonia in 2018 and 2023. Her Matchplay international record is: Foursomes: W4 L4 H0; Fourballs: W2 L0 H1; Singles: W8 L2 H0.
Chrissie was the 2009 and 2013 World Ladies Strokeplay champion.
The reigning National Matchplay and National Strokeplay champion, Chrissie is the third most successful Irish ladies player of all time with other National Strokeplay wins in 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2022 along with 2003, 2006, 2010, 2012, 2015 and 2021 National Matchplay victories.
1999 National Intermediate Strokeplay champion (she is one of three former intermediate champions to also win the senior championship), Chrissie claimed the 2016 National Mixed Foursomes title with Derek O’Toole.
Since her first win (in millennium year), Chrissie has accumulated a round dozen National Inter-County wins with Kildare. She has participated in nine provincial Inter-County successes since 2003.
National Mixed Team Event winner in 2002 and 2008, with St. Bridget’s, Chrissie also helped St. Bridget’s to 2016 National Ladies Inter-club glory.
2024 Ireland Master winner, Chrissie was also victorious in the first two Irish Opens (2009 and 2011).
Chrissie won her eighth Leinster Strokeplay championship title in 2025.
Non-playing Captain: Ger Holland
Leading coach and former National Secretary, Ger Holland began her Pitch and Putt career at the now-defunct Dublin Postal club and was 1995 National Junior Strokeplay runner-up at Portmarnock.
She was runner-up in the 2020 Dublin Ladies Strokeplay Championship at Shandon to home player Maree O'Toole and in the 2022 Dublin Matchplay at Lucan, losing the decider to clubmate Siobhan Keely. The same two players also contested the 2008 final at Ierne, also won by Siobhan.
Ger has represented Dublin with distinction in the Inter-County arena. She featured on the Dublin teams that clinched national honours in 2016 at RGSC and that finished second the following year at Ryston.
The RGSC stalwart holds three provincial Inter-County silver medals, earned in 2010, 2016 and 2017.
Twice a National Matchplay semi-finalist, Ger posted 109 at Old County to win the 2015 All-Ireland Ladies (Over-55) Senior Grade Strokeplay Championship.
In 2023, Ger narrowly failed to add a second All Ireland Ladies (Over 55) Senior Grade Strokeplay title at Glenville where she finished runner-up to Geraldine Ward (Portmarnock).
In addition to sterling administrative service to RGSC, Ger has acted on the National Ladies Committee and Pitch and Putt Ireland Strategic Planning Committees.
