2025 Cyder Cup

Cyder Cup - It's three wins in a row for Old Spice

The club played the 3rd Cyder Cup with the two teams Old Spice (members before COVID) v New kidz in Da Brock (members after COVID)

This special cup is a take on the Ryder Cup following the same format, Doubles matchplay followed by singles all competing to lift the Cyder Cup (replica of the Ryder Cup) and bragging rights for the year.

The teams battled it out with New Kidz being 4-3 up after the doubles however, Old Spice came through strong in the singles winning the singles and the lifting the cup for the 3rd successive year due to a winning put but 82 year old P J McGovern in his singles match against Mark Ivers.

Old Spice captain Seamus Maguinness was also presented with a green jacket by losing captain Kevin Scott for making it 3 in a row.  The jacket was a perfect fit.  Nominations are now open for a new captain for New Kidz!

A great day and great craic was had by all.
