Ireland's European Championship Ladies team decided
Tara, Amy and Chrissie selected

16 of Ireland’s top lady players competed in sultry conditions at the excellent McDonagh course today. Two places in Ireland’s team for July’s European Team championship at Lucan were at stake.
Tara Dillon (Ryston) fired an impressive 49 second round to post an overall 36-hole aggregate of 103 and topped the leaderboard on five under par. Reigning National Matchplay champion Amy Galvin (Tullamore) clinched her spot on the team with steady rounds of 53 and 51 for her 104 total.
Tara and Amy will be joined on the three-person Ireland team by Ireland’s no. 1 ranked lady player, Chrissie Sheedy. Coincidentally, Chrissie also finished in third place in the trial, signing for eighteens of 50 and 55 for 105.
Great credit is due to all 16 ladies for braving the heat and competing so sportingly. Best wishes to Tara, Amy, Chrissie and non-playing captain Ger Holland (RGSC) in Lucan on 18th/20th July.
