After two stagings each of the three separate interprovincial challenges, the state of the parties is: Ladies: Leinster 2 Munster 0; Juveniles: Leinster 1½ Munster ½; Gents: Leinster 1 Munster 1.
Of the players who have represented their respective provinces on two occasions, five remain undefeated, although no-one can claim a 100% record. Kieran Earls has earned one and a half foursomes points and has won both his singles. That’s a record that’s matched by Amy Galvin, Chrissie Sheedy, Jack McShane and Harry Concannon. The Leinster quartet halved their particular foursomes matches last year while Kieran’s tied foursomes encounter came in the 2025 encounter.
Having come through the 2023 match at McDonagh unscathed, Sean Harkins is the only gents player with a 100% record. That’s a performance matched by Glenda Hoey who won both her matches at Ryston. On the juvenile side, Pippa Cuffe, Enda Hayden and Fionn McMonagle were all victorious in both foursomes and singles at Ryston to earn their unblemished records.
With Munster gents so dominant in the 2025 match, it’s no surprise that all the 100% records in that showdown were on the southern province side – Damien Fleming, Stephen Shoer, John Cahill, John Walsh, Daithi Sexton and Stephen O’Reilly.
Leinster’s Amy Galvin, Chrissie Sheedy, Geraldine Ward and Glenda Hoey each earned two precious points in the 2025 victory, a feat matched by fellow Leinster players Pippa Cuffe, Jack McShane, Harry Concannon and Enda Hayden along with Munster’s Fionn McMonagle.
Barry Morrissey (foursomes half and singles win) emerged undefeated from the 2023 Gents match as did Tommy Hanley (foursomes half and singles win) in 2025. Munster juveniles Ben Kelliher and Brian McCarthy have similar records from 2023.
The 2025 margins (13½-4½, 7-2 and 7-2) are all records for the separate matches.
