The NEC have agreed the following in relation to Youths/Juveniles for 2024
1. The NEC will once again sponsor County/Regional Board Strokeplays and Matchplays in 2024.
2. In relation to our underage section and bringing it into line with the laws of the land we must transition to U18 in the next number of years, Our Youth Officer will assemble a Sub Committee in the coming weeks to start this process, this sub committee will include our Vice President and various people involved with Youths within our game.
3. Any Youth who turns 16 years of age after March 1st will be given the option of staying U16 or transitioning to Adult, they may be given a firm Handicap and and allowed to play in Club Competitions while staying U16 for the season.
The NEC would further encourage County/Regional Boards to organise Easte camps in order to get you young players started and registered earlier than normal, help and support can be provided for these camps form Pitch and Putt Ireland
