Winter Alliance.

The final winter alliance of the year took place in Lough Owel on Sunday. On a bitter day 15 brave teams played on the Mullingar course. Winners of the 36 Gross prize was the Lough Owel team of Dessie Baker, Gerry Kennan and Stephen Bray with an outstanding score of 28 under par. The 36 Net prize was won by another Lough Owel team, Darren Creevy, Sean Dinnegan and Dean Dinnegan with a score of 70 2/3. The spot prize went to Mary Browne Custume. Westmeath County Board would like to thank everyone who supported the alliances over the winter and all the clubs for holding the events.
