Leinster Schools Competition.
There was great success for Westmeath schools in the Leinster schools competition at St. Bridgets in Kilcullen last Friday. 3 out of the top 4 teams were from Westmeath and this shows the great young talent and bright prospects in Westmeath at the moment and bodes well for the future of pitch and putt in the county.
Congratulations to the Rochfortbridge team of Jo
nathan Daly, Liam Metcalfe and Martin White on a excellent win with a great score of 309. Following closely in 3rd was the Kilbeggan team of Brendan McMahon, Ciaran Egan and Shane McDermott and in 4th was another Kilbeggan team with Aaron O'Brien, Shane Keenan and Shane Dunne playing good pitch and putt. Well done to all.
