Sports Capital Programme - Open for Applications image

As you were previously informed, the Department of Transport, Tourism & Sport has announced that another €40 million Sports Capital Programme will be available for 2015. This funding represents is the main channel of Government support for developing sports facilities and purchasing sports equipment for sports clubs and organisations across Ireland.

The terms and conditions of this year’s programme have been finalised and it has been announced by Minister of State for Tourism and Sport, Michael Ring TD, that applications will be accepted from now until the closing date for applications, April 24th 2015 at 5pm.

In order to apply for funding under the Sports Capital Programme, clubs and organisations must register through the new online system – OSCAR (Online Sports Capital Register).

OSCAR will also allow groups to view previous grants and payments, change contact details, seek payment of a grant and otherwise communicate with the Department online. This will be the only way to apply for grants under any future rounds of the Sports Capital Programme. The closing date for the registration process is April 10th but it is strongly recommended that clubs/groups wishing to apply for funding under the 2015 Sports Capital Programme, or any future rounds, register as soon as possible.

Further details are included in the earlier article, which is linked below along with other useful information including a guide to the application process, a guide to registering for OSCAR and the Sports Capital Programme website.
