Rochfortbridge Committee Cup Competition 2026
The Rochfortbridge Committee Cup Competition was successfully introduced for the first time this year as a new addition to the club’s Matchplay competitions.
The competition gave players who were defeated in the preliminary and first rounds of the Joe Daly Matchplay the opportunity to continue competing in a separate knockout competition. The new format proved to be a great success and ensured that players remained involved and competitive throughout the Matchplay weekend.
Following a series of closely contested matches, Derek McKevitt emerged as the inaugural winner of the Rochfortbridge Committee Cup, defeating Fergal O’Connor in the final.
The competition results were:

🏅 Beaten Semi-Finalists: Jim Gill and Liam Cole
Congratulations to Derek on becoming the first-ever winner of the Rochfortbridge Committee Cup. Well done also to Fergal, Jim and Liam on reaching the latter stages of the competition, and to all players who took part in this new event.
The introduction of the Rochfortbridge Committee Cup was a welcome addition to the club’s competition calendar and helped make the Joe Daly Matchplay weekend an even more enjoyable and competitive occasion for everyone involved.
