INTRODUCTION

It is felt that a play for shots system similar to golf would encourage
more people to support all competitions in greater numbers, as there is
a fall off in support and a scence among a large number of PPUI members
of ''what is the point in palying''.
A system that gives an incentive to play would seem to be helpful in
encouraging people to support competitions as they would have
a vested interest in doing so.
Fears that some clubs would not work the system would appear groundless
as there members would be loosing out and would be uncompetitive within
the new system.

    PROPOSALS FOR REVISION OF HANDICAP

Based on a play for handicap system the following would pertain,
maximum shots that could be back in one season is 2.

This could be achieved by playing in 10 club competitions where 1 shot
may be gained and a second shot gained by playing in opens and or
playing in national,provincial,regional or county qualifying rounds
or finals where no qualifying rounds take place.

Cuts to handicap would be as per rule all non prize winners to recieve
.1 of a shot.

All adjustments to HANDICAPS to be based on singals play.

Prizes which do not warrant a cut, will disqualify from recieving addition
to handicap.

ALL RELEVANT SCORES AND INFORMATION TO BE HELD IN MEMBERS HOME CLUB AND
ONLY SENT TO HEAD OFFICE WITH THE REQUEST FOR INCREASE IN HANDICAP.

Regional and County boards through their registrars would MONITOR AND
VREIFY before being sent to head office.

The Present system to cease at the end of the 2013 season and the new
syatem to commence at the beginning of the 2014 season.

The system within clubs as outlined could be looked at as the size of
clubs and number of competitions palyed. IE (Large clube 10 comps with .1
and small clubs 5 comps with .2)
