The Pitch and Putt Union of Ireland will launch their Strategic Plan 2017 – 2021 this Sat (9Th Dec) which will set the agenda for governing and development of the game of Pitch and Putt for the coming years. The launch will take place at Glenville Pitch and Putt Club, Dublin at 3.30pm.

The development of this plan has taken several months and covers a range of strategic action areas that are vital to the development of the sport. The sub-committee of John Manning (Shandon), Ger Holland (RGSC), Darren Keogh (Ryston), Mark Keohane (Rocklodge, Cork Co. Board Chairman, NEC Officer), Michael Murphy (Royal Meath, NEC Officer) and Paul Hayes (PPUI National Coaching & Development Manager) spent a number of months developing this plan and the time and effort put in is much appreciated.

As part of the process the last Strategic Plan was critically reviewed with a number of people asked to voice their opinion on the plan including NEC Officers past and present, County Board Officers, Club Officers and PPUI members, with their views being greatly valued in the process. Each member of the PPUI was also afforded the opportunity to voice their opinion on the future of the sport and the PPUI are thankful for those that contributed to this process. This is the fourth Strategic Plan developed by the PPUI and it looks to build on the work, carried out over the past number of years, aimed at improving the state of Pitch and Putt in Ireland.

All PPUI clubs will be furnished with a copy of the Strategic Plan in the coming weeks and a copy will be made available on the PPUI website also.
