The PPUI today announced details of the 2017/18 Secondary Schools Competition and made entry forms available. The Munster Finals this year are to be played in St. Anne’s P&P Club, Co. Cork on Friday 13th April, with the Leinster Final taking place in Navan P&P Club on the same date. Any qualifying, if required, will take place on Wed 21st March (this date is flexible and can be played any day of that week). The All-Ireland Final will take place in Fermoy P&P Club, Co. Cork on Fri 27th April.
There has been one major change to this year’s competition, the requirement that 1 member of the team of 3 must be a PPUI member has been lifted. There is no requirement to be a member of a PPUI club and this competition is open to all secondary school students.
***Cork Schools*** Please note that all schools from Cork must also enter the Cork Secondary Schools competition as this is a qualifying event for Munster. Details and entry forms can be obtained from Mark Keohane [email protected].
The PPUI would like to encourage all clubs to try and get a team entered from their local secondary school. This is an opportunity to get juveniles playing P&P early in the year and into their local club practicing over the Easter break.
Entry Forms are available in the Download Section of the website under Entry Forms or at the following links:
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact PPUI National Coaching & Development Manager, Paul Hayes on 086-1738722 or by e-mail to [email protected].
