The Greenkeeping Seminars advertised to club secretaries and on the PPUI website in December are to go ahead in the coming weeks. The Leinster course is at capacity while a few spots still remain on the Munster course. To book a place on the Munster course , please contact Pauric in the PPUI office as soon as possible. A list of names and clubs signed up for the seminars are available at the links below.

Both courses will begin at 10am and will last approximately 3 to 4 hours. The venues for the seminars remain the same as advertised:

  • Leinster (Royal Meath): Saturday February 1st 
  • Munster (Fermoy): Saturday February 8th        

The seminars will be delivered by Ger O'Connor and Brian Webster who have designed it so as to benefit attendees as much as possible. By learning a few small and simple points on every aspect of course management, huge improvements can be made to your course.  The seminar will be delivered in a practical format when possible so that participants get hands on experience. Demonstrations will cover the correct way to do things as well as explaining why they are done in such a way. It is important that each club has several members able to care for the course in case of sickness, holidays, injury, etc. It is particularly important that clubs hosting or planning to host major Championships and Competitions have attendees, expanding knowledge and capabilities within the club.
