PPUI Announce Educational Partnership

The PPUI are delighted to announce they have entered into an educational partnership with the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Ireland (GCSAI). The GCSAI is the Professional Association for the men and women who manage and maintain the courses and grounds of Irish sporting facilities.

 

Speaking at today’s launch of the partnership, PPUI Honorary President Mervyn Cooney said “the PPUI are committed to providing excellent support to our affiliated clubs and this partnership will offer a great opportunity for upskilling our green keepers and all who maintain Pitch & Putt courses to an exceptionally high standard”.

 

PPUI members will be provided with a National Education day on Course Management & Maintenance, will have access to online Course Management resources, also to GCSAI’s award winning Greenside magazine, the only Irish Professional Sportsturf publication on the market and much more.

 

GCSAI President, Tom Carew, at today’s launch stated his organisations commitment to support the PPUI in achieving its goals of broadening educational opportunities for its members and expressed his pleasure in signing the agreement with the PPUI, his last act as President before stepping down at their upcoming AGM.

 

The GCSAI, through General Manager Damian McLaverty have developed solutions to help PPUI members expand and enhance their knowledge in Course Management, Professional Sportsturf Management Practises and Equipment Maintenance and Management. Working closely with PPUI Technical Officer, Ger O’Connor, the GCSAI will look to develop a long-term strategy for supporting Pitch and Putt greenkeepers.
