PPUI & Active School Week
PPUI continue support of Active School Week
The PPUI will continue the relationship with Active School Week (ASW) started last year, with over 30 clubs already signed up to the 2017 programme. The ASW initiative is about providing FUN and INCLUSIVE physical activity opportunities for ALL members of the school community. It allows schools to reinforce the message that not only is physical activity good for you but it also very enjoyable. It provides schools with an excellent opportunity to raise awareness about the physical activity opportunities that are available in their locality and to work collaboratively with students, parents and members of the community.
The initiative involves clubs providing local schools the opportunity for their pupils to participate in the sport of Pitch and Putt. It is aimed at both Primary and Secondary schools and it is a wonderful opportunity for clubs to build a relationship with schools close to them.
For any clubs who have not already signed up, they can find out more information by contacting PPUI National Coaching & Development Manager, Paul Hayes on 086-1738722 or by e-mail to [email protected].
