Everyone expected it would be a game of catch up in the senior section as John O’Neill (Athgarvan) was 3 shots ahead of second place Thomas Mason (Loughlinstown). A superb second round 46 from Patrick Kelly (Loughlinstown) brought him to 95 which was just a single stroke better than Thomas Mason (Loughlinstown) who added a 49 to his opening 47 for 96 and second place.
