Grainne Shelley & Derek Shelley are the sixth pairing in history to win the National Mixed Foursomes (now the National Mixed Scotch Foursomes) over their home course.

The other six are: Joe Kearney & Pat Kearney (Fermoy), David Hayden & Bernie Barton (Lucan), Ailish Sexton & David Sexton (Fermoy), Concepta Maddick & Gerry Rock (Seapoint),and Marie O'Toole & Ted Flynn (Lucan)..

Alan Hogan & George Goldman’(Larkspur Park) join William Corry & Derek Seery (Bellewstown).as winners of the Natuonal Non Mixed Scotch Foursoes over their home course.

Grainne Shelley & Derek Shelley are the fourth Co. Tipperary pairing to win the National Mixed Foursomes (or National Scotch Foursomes) following Laura O'Hanrahan & Rory O'Hanrahan, Noel Joyce & Brid Ryan and Richard O'Halloran & Christine Glasheen.

Alan Hogan & George Goldman became the first pair from Larkspur Park and the first from Co. Tipperary to win the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes.

Alan Hogan & George Goldman’s winning aggregate of 101 points is the best ever in the short history of the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes.

Larkspur Park hosted a National Mixed Foursomes finalfor the second time.

Denis O'Sullivan & Rob O'Donoghue’s stunning 98 points is a new record Gross total for the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes.

Michael Buckley and John Fitzgerald combined for 99 points, which is the best ever runners-up score in the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes.

Kathleen Shanley & John Fitzgerald are the fourth Tipperary pair in eight stagings (and the fifth in history) to take second place in the National Mixed Foursomes.  

It’s a second National podium finish for Katheen Shanley after her National O55 Strokeplay Championship win at Lakeside in 2010.

John Fitzgerald is the first player in history to achieve podium finishes in both the National Mixed and National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes in the same year.

The winners and runners-up in the National Mixed Foursomes were from the same county for the 12th time. 2022 was the first year both the winners and runners-up in the National Mixed Foursomes represented Co. Tipperary clubs.

The winners and runners-up in the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes were from the same county for the first time.

John Fitzgerald and former leading Juvenile Matthew Buckley are the first Hillview pair and the first from Tipperary to finish second in the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes.

Paula Nolan’s excellent year continues as the 2022 Munster Intermediate Strokeplay Champion  joined with Garrett O’Mahony to be the second Rocklodge pair (after Paul O’Sullivan & Teresa Dilworth in 1977) to take Best Gross at the National Mixed Foursomes.

Paula and Garrett also achieved podium finishes (with different partners) in the 2016 Munster Mixed Foursomes at Tralee.

The winning margin in the National Mixed Foursomes was one for the 23rd time in history.

Josephine Tobin and Thomas Roberts emulate their Lakeside club-mates Michael Fennell & Elaine Quinn by winning a Session prize at the National Mixed Foursomes.

Munster Junior Inter-County winner Gerard Tuite& Matt Corrigan also emulate club colleagues Michael Fennel l& Elaine Quinn by winning a Session prize at the National Foursomes.

Dylan Ahern wins a Session prize at the National Mixed Foursomes 12 years after his parents Nicola and Morty claimed Best 2nd 18 in the event at RGSC.

Gillian Morrissey is the first St. Annes player to achieve a podium finish in the National Mixed Foursomes since Ray Murphy won the Gross (with Linda Murphy of Collins) at Collins in 2015. (Club-mates Michael Long & Ian Leech were Non-Mixed runners-up three years ago).

Ian Farrelly continued his excellent National Foursomes record. The 2003 Mixed victor (with Catherine McCreevy) and 2012 Mixed Best Gross winner (with Kathleen Geraghty) clinched a Non-Mixed Session prize with Bellewstown club-mate and Trim Scratch Cup winner Sean Kennedy.

Rob O’Donoghue is the first player in history to claim an Inter-County Winners medal and Best Gross in the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes in the same year.

Denis O’Sullivan adds Best Gross in the National Non-Mixed Scotch Foursomes to a podium finish in the 2014 National Mixed Team Event at Douglas (2nd Session prize).
