THE 2014 National Mixed Foursomes title went to Meath this afternoon with Navan’s Catherine McCreevy and Bellewstown’s William Sheridan victorious in Ringcommons, Dublin this afternoon. Rounds of seven and four up gave them a three shot victory over the field on 11up with William claiming his second National title in the space of a week following his success in the National Seniors Gents Championship in Gaeil Colmcille a week earlier. This is Catherine’s second time winning the Sean Coyne Memorial Cup having won the event with another Meath player, Ian Farrelly, back in 2003.

Second place went to the Hillview pair of Gemma McCarthy and Michael Kennedy with 8up as their last nine holes was better than that of St Bridgets duo Bernie and Paddy Dunne who finished on 8up as well.
