National Matchplay Weekend Information

Information for People Traveling to Templemore for the Finals

Now that many of the qualifiers have become known over the last few days of action, thoughts will turn towards arrangements for the National Matchplay Championships. The Lakeside Club have prepared a vast amount of information for visitors to Templemore for the weekend. Please see below if you are making the trip to Tipp over the June Bank holiday weekend.

Templemore (An Teampall Mór, meaning The Big Church, in Irish) is a town lying beneath the western slopes of Devil's Bit Mountain in County Tipperary. Since February 1964, the town has been the site of the Garda Síochána College, the centre for training Ireland's police force. In July 1965 the Lakeside Pitch and Putt Club opened in the town and has been going now for 50 years. This year we will host the Ladies and Gents National Matchplay finals at Lakeside and the following are some of the amenities available in the town.
