THE young men of MacBride Pitch and Putt Club turned out in force on Sunday 9th September when their club strokeplay took place under very blustery conditions.

The weather didn’t bother the young men who were on top form and some great performances were put in.

There has to be an overall winner and this time around it was Aaron McDonagh who took the victory with a score of 95 for 36 holes. Grade one winner was Daryl McDonagh with 100 while Dean Fallon took the runner up spot with 109.

Grade two was won by Nico Moore with 118 with Kieran Bowers in second with 124. The Grade three winner was Caoimhin O'Brien with 129 and the runner up was Eoin McDaid with 142.

There were also two holes in one on the day with Ruairí Murphy and Niall Connor notching up the eagles.

Juvenile coach Alan Cooper said that the standard of play on the day was very high and he thanked Coca Cola International Services, Club Secretary Keith Smyth and also club member Tom Devin for all of his assistance.
