MacBride Weekly Notes

MACBRIDE had a great week of pitch and putt last week with members tasting success in the all-new Inter-Club competition and also in the Louth Down Monaghan Scramble.
The new Junior and Intermediate Inter-Club competition saw MacBride beating Cement in the first round 6-3 and both teams got a great welcome at Navan Pitch and Putt Club.
There was further success for the members of MacBride in the Louth Down Monaghan Scramble on Sunday 13th April with two teams winning prizes on the day. 
The final 18 holes were played in MacBride and there were some great scores posted on the day with the overall winners coming from Seapoint in the form of G. Breen Snr, G Breen Jnr and A Breen with a score of 32 nett. 
The runner up team of B Dyas, C Murray and m McGuinness gave MacBride it’s first prize on the day with a score of 34 nett (b9) while taking third place was the Cement team of A Cluskey, K Cluskey and D Johnston also with 34 Nett.
The second prize for MacBride came when the pairing of R McKenna, P Gorman and G Hatch were named as the 18 Gross winners.
The winner of the recent 18 nett 18 gross fourball competition was the team of Keith Smyth and Marco Vogelaar with a score of 98. The result of the 2-ball scramble will be published next week.
The Cement Open Scotch Foursomes and Scratch Cup takes place this weekend and all members are encouraged to who their support. 
2-ball scramble continues on Tuesday 15th April at 6.30pm and on Wednesday 16th April at 2pm.
18 hole singles stableford on Wednesday 23rd and Friday 25th April at 2pm and Sunday 27th at 10am.
