Mac Bride Weeky Notes 12/11/12

Week 5 & 6 Catch Up :-)

In the 5th week of the Turkey competitions players were met with mixed conditions with some fine weather early on in the week but come Sunday in heavy rain conditions the course was just about playable with casual water from rainfall on a large part of the course.

Grade 1 was not as exciting as previous weeks but the Club Captain who was narrowly beaten last week came out on top this week when he carded a 47 gross to claim his Turkey. Keith Smyth also took advantage of the scoring when he also produced a 47 to win his roast.

Grade 2 saw the youngsters turn out in style when cousins and practice partners Aarron & Daryl Mc Donagh went head to head when Daryl set the pace with a 39N (HC 9) Aaron stepped up carding a 47G (HC 9) to proguce a 38Nett to win the grade by just one stroke.;

Week six of the Turkey competitions again for this time of year compeditors were met by glorious weather for the week which reflected well in the scoring.

Grade 1 saw the comeback kings grab their spoils when Padraig Sarsfield carded a flawless 46 to brush off the rest of the challengers & Tommy Dyas after a coulple of bellow average weeks also decided to produce a magnificent 44 to win his roast.

Grade 2 saw the unlucky Sean Rooney be beaten for the third time when he produced another solid 49gross only to be pipped by Jimmy Flood who carded an excellent 48gross to claim the Turkey.

The latest draw of the Club Lotto took place last Tuesday 6th November in the The Railway Arms and there was no Jackpot Winner, The numbers were 1, 5, 19 & 25 and the weekly winners were Margaret Murphy, Pat Gartland & Noelene Bedford. The new jackpopt is €1100 & draw will take place on the 20th November.

This weeks competition is 18Nett and will take place Wednesday, Friday, Saturday & 1.30pm and Sunday 10am.
