The first week of the Turkeys got off to a flying start with the weather being extremely fine for this time of year its allowed the in form players to punish the course.
Grade 1 was won by Ray Mc Kenna who carded a fine 43 Nett (HC5) to narrowly beat Keith Smyth on back 9's whilst Tom Devin who carded a fantastic 41Nett (HC6) was narrowly beaten for his bird by Maurice Cunningham whon carded a 40Nett (HC12) to beat him by just one stroke.
Times of play next week are Wednesday, Friday & Saturday at 1.30pm and Sunday at 10am
Also finally exactly a year after it started the Hole in One Competition was won by Keith Smyth who pitched straight in for an Ace on the selected 9th hole.
The latest Club Lotto draw took place on Tuesday 9th October in the Railway Arms and there was no winner of the current jackpot. The Numbers were 2, 14, 21 & 26. The three weekly winners were Steven Foran & Mark o'Brien c/o Alan Cooper & Elliot Hatch c/o Gordon Hatch. The new jackpot is now €1000 and next draw will take place on Tuesday 23rd October.
