Scramble Success for Mc Cabe, Murray & Cooper
The 36 Hole scramble was played in beautiful conditions and the course playing extremely fair as the groundstaff had the place in great conditions. It was conditions that meant the scoring needed to above average to win and thats what Alan Cooper, Paddy Mc Cabe & Chris Murray produced carding back to back 36's incliding 34 birdies, 1 ace and a single par with a handicap of 3 to produce a 69 & to beat their nearest challengers Keith Smyth, Ray mc Kenna & Jimmy Fllood on 71
The latest draw for the Mac-Bride club lotto is took place on Tuesday 25th September and the numbers were 2, 8, 22 & 28, there was no jackpot winner, the weekly winners were David Moran, Elliot Hatch & Eugene White. Jackpot is now €950
The annual Turkey League will commence on Wednesday 3rd October and the committee is hoping for decent weather to enable members to continue to play on the run-in to Christmas. For more details check the link to clubs calender
This year's competition features the prizes of turkey, a bottle and biscuits and overall hamper in each grade to play for. The hole-in-one competition will also be run within this league.
Finally, the committee would like to thank members for attending club competitions and also for representing the club at other open competitions in the area, not to mention our fantastic performances at regional, provincial and national level this year.
