25th Anniversary Celebrations at The Bedfords Captains Day

Club Captains Mickey & Nolene Bedford held their Captain's Day on Sunday 26th August and there was a tremendous turnout, with the club also inviting a number of members from other clubs from around the area.

The weather was fantastic and there were was great craic had by all on the day, which started with an 18 Nett scramble that was eventually won by the team of DJ Smyth, Mary Agnew and Dom Scully. The closest to the pin competition was won by Gordon Hatch on the 8th and Tommy Dyas on the 13th.

The overall Ladies Prize was won by Patricia Reilly, the Visitors' prize was won by Fintan McCreevy, and Ann O'Sullivan and John Meade won the overall.

The best front nine score was won by Alan Cooper and the best back nine was won by Chris Murray.

The grade prizes were won by Ray Kelly 94(Junior), Ray McKenna 97(Intermediate) and Tommy Dyas 92(Senior).

The overall Captain's Prize was won by Tom Devin who put in a brilliant performance of 45 51 on the day to take the victory with a combined 89

Club Chairman Peter Woods thanked everyone who helped out on the day and especially Laura and her mum Edel and also Sarah for all their help on the daywith the kitchen. The final thanks went to all the guests, visiting players and members following the presentation and meal in The Kitchen Restaurant.
