On Sunday 16th December 2012 we held our final competition of the year. Unfortunately due to the terrible weather conditions some of our holes had to be closed to prevent damage to the greens. This did not deter the usual hardy souls that teed off for the chance at winning the Christmas dinner. The format decided on was a 36 hole scotch foursomes. Many of the teams submitted very good scores but the best nett score of the day went to Maurice Middleton and John Sweeney with Sean Dinnegan and Gary Middleton taking the gross prize. Congratulations to the winners and indeed to all winners in our annual Turkey Competitions. Many thanks to Martin Charles for the great job he does with our scorecards and competition book and to David Corcoran for having the course playable. That brings us to the end of our competition season for 2012. The Club committee would like to thank all our members for their support and help throughout the year and we would like to wish you and your families a happy and peaceful Christmas and a prosperous New Year.
