Lough Owel Club Notes 6th January 2013

County Board Alliance
The first County Board Alliance 3 ball Scramble took place on Sunday 6th January in Collinstown. As always our club was well represented by no less than 7 teams which is a fine testament to the calibre of members within the club. The team comprising of Rene Jan Bloem,Sean Dinnegan and Niall Corcoran took the spoils in the gross section with a terrific score of 31 under par for two rounds . There is very little to be said about that score only that it was phenomenal. Well done guys and keep the flag flying. Thanks to Collinstown for the warm welcome and hospitality that is always offered by the club and its members. Great to see the Collinstown course in such fine condition so early in the year, a special word of thanks has to go to the fine ladies of the club for the bounty of refreshments that were available to all players after they had played. Its always a pleasure to be welcomed with a smile and a hot cuppa. Thanks ladies. On Sunday the 20th January the County Board Alliance takes place in our home course of Lough Owel. Tee times are as usual 1100am-1pm. We hope to see another good turnout from our members to support the County Board Alliances.
