Overnight Ireland trail by 7.5 to 4.5 in the International Challenge against Catalonia at Lloret Papalus. Conor McCarthy and Shane Redmond were once again victorious in the Fourballs (4&2) with the combination of Kevin McCarthy and Ian Dillon (3&2) also successful. Unfortunately there were defeats for Frank Ryan and Christy Broe (5&3), Weeshie Murphy and John Carton (3&2), Martin Fawl and Helen Daly (3&2) and team captain Maree O'Toole and Martha O'Brien (1 down). The 12 Singles matches get underway at 9am Irish time tomorrow. Catalonia had led by 3.5 to 2.5 after the morning Foursomes.
