International Challenge 2014 Result
Defeat for Ireland In Lloret Papalus
Unfortunately it has ended in defeat for Ireland in the International Challenge in Catalonia on a scoreline of 13.5 to 10.5.
Catalonia had led by 7.5 to 4.5 overnight after yesterday's Foursomes and Fourball Rounds.
In the Singles this morning there were wins for Conor McCarthy (3&1), Shane Redmond (4&3), Weeshie Murphy (1up), John Carton (4&3), Frank Ryan (3&2) and Kevin McCarthy (1up).
Catalonia halved the Singles overall however (6-6) to win the Challenge by three points overall however as there were defeats for team captain Maree O'Toole (6&5), Martha O'Brien (1 down), Helen Daly (2 down), Martin Fawl (3&2), Christy Broe (4&3) and Ian Dillon (2&1).
A big thanks to the team for their efforts over the past weekend, they certainly did their country proud!
