Flanagan&Smyth edge out competition on week 3 of winter league
Winter League week 3 results
THE third week of the MacBride Winter League produced more excellent scores in some pleasant conditions as the course was blessed with dry but windy conditions for two out of the three days’ play.
The top grade saw Ivor Flanagan return to form with a score of 44 Nett with the scratch player beating Peter Vogelaar on the back nine holes after shooting a 44 Nett.
Following two weeks of being runner up, Keith Smyth finally took his win in Grade Two with a 42 Nett (HC 7) but just by the skin of his teeth beating Richie McCann, Jason Hanratty and Jimmy Flood all on the back nine.
