The Ladies Social Day kicks off at 11.00 in Athgarvan and Hillview on Saturday 13th April, anyone who cannot attend is asked to contact the Office at 01 6251110.

The Rule Book has been updated and is available online in the Downloads (Others) section of the website, remember a player now has the option of using 3 Clubs, one must be a putter.

With the entry closing date for the Ladies National Matchplays next Wednesday April 17th this is a reminder that there are 2 National Matchplay titles up for grabs over the June Bank Holiday weekend offering all ladies in all grades an opportunity to become an All-Ireland Champion.

The National Scratch Matchplay retains the same format as last year whereby any lady from any grade is eligible to enter this great championship which is played off scratch. Defending champion Geraldine Ward will be seeking to claim her 4th National Matchplay title in a row in Rocklodge over the June bank holiday weekend.

2018 saw the introduction of a new National Handicap Matchplay championship open to any lady player with a -10 to -21 handicap to enter. This national championship is played in the same format over the bank holiday weekend as the National Scratch Matchplay with the exception that players handicaps are used. This provides an excellent opportunity for eligible lady players to compete and claim a national title while being able to utilise their playing handicaps. Its introduction in 2018 was a great success with many of the matches played going to the last hole or into extra holes. This new championship was very positively received by all the players last year and a very welcome new format. Elaine Quinn from the Lakeside club in Tipperary claimed the inaugural title and we really hope and encourage ladies to support this championship further this year to build on last year’s great success.

The closing date for the National Matchplay (Finals @ Rocklodge) is Wednesday 17th April, all entry forms are available online, but, if anyone needs entry forms for any of the Competitions please contact the Office at 01 6251110 or [email protected].
