2016 National Matchplay

9.30am Start on Saturday Morning!!!!

The first round will be a shotgun start at 9.30am on Saturday morning. The players defeated in the first round will move on to the Plate competition. The second round of play (18 holes), including the Plate competition will begin at approximately 12.30pm with the Qtr. final (18 holes) in both to get going at approximately 2.30pm.

All players are asked to be checked in at the course no later than 9.15am on Saturday morning. The times for Round 2 and the Qtr. final are approximate and should we be able to, we will try to start play for these rounds a few mins earlier.

A start time of 9.30am on Sunday will see the semi-finals and finals in the boy’s Championship and the boys Plate played over 36 holes for each round. 

Sunday morning will also see the Girls enter the action with players also asked to be at the course at 9.30am in order to be ready to start their 36 hole semi-final. A subsequent 36 hole final will ultimately crown the 2016 u-16 Girls National Matchplay champion. Katie Rose Heeney (Bellewstown), Keneisha Green Scully (Laytown) and Katelyn Farrell (The Acres) will compete in the girls section.

The Innagural PPUI u-16 National Matcplay is set to be a fantastic weekend, celebrating the Juveniles of our sport and we are looking forward to a some exciting Pitch & Putt in one of the finest courses in the country, Royal Meath.
