The Intermediate grade proved to be a riveting spectacle as Brendan Lawlor (Channonrock) who carded a 53 in his opening round added a blistering 43 (including missed putts for dykes on 17 and 18) to emerge victorious on a score of 96. In second place on 100 by virtue of an exceptional back 18 of 45 was Pat Martin (Tipperary Hills) while Michael McMarlow (Ryston) was 3rd also on 100 beating first round leader Frank O’Brien (Collins) on the final 9.
