Lough Owel Club Notes 3rd February 2012

County Board Alliance
The second County Board Alliance 3 ball Scramble took place on Sunday 3rd February in Lough Owel. No fewer than 25 teams took part on what was a beautiful morning and as always our club was well represented by no less than 8 teams. The team comprising of Dessie Baker,Gerry Keenan and Gerry Coyne took the top prize in the gross section... with a terrific score of 29 under par for two rounds. Well done guys on the terrific score.Unfortunately we had no teams in the running for the nett score. Great to see the course in such fine condition so early in the year, a special word of thanks to David Corcoran for the hard work that he put in during the week despite the horrendous weather. On Sunday the 17th January the County Board Alliance takes place in Kilbeggan. Tee times are as usual 1100am-1pm. We hope to see another good turnout from our members to support the County Board Alliances.
Club Competition
A club competition is scheduled for Sunday 10th February 2013 at 10am as always this is weather permitting. A text message will be sent if it has to be postponed,
Club Meeting
Our next club meeting is scheduled for Thursday 7th February at 7pm in the Clubhouse, this will also be our fixtures meeting so a full attendance of officers is expected.
Belated Birthday Wishes
The Club Committee and its members would like to send belated birthday wishes to Adam Corcoran who recently celebrated his 21st birthday. Congratulations Adam.
